Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to present you "Global Financial Crisis: The Economy Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better". This is a sequel to the previous one, "Subprime Crisis", I presented last December at Khmer Seminar.
The purpose of this presentation is three-fold:
- To illustrate global financial crisis and its impact on real economy;
- To investigate different approaches to the crisis; and
- To show the needs of establishment of Phnom Penh Stock Exchange (PPSE).

The economy will get worse before it gets better, it is absolutely true. However, past cannot be changed, fortunately future can be changed. As long as we are together, we can break the mold, make a difference. Therefore, we must define, not be defined by, the global financial crisis.
